Overview
Built Front-end of B2C e-commerce, of features in the dashboard, purchasing process, and search engine, based on the objective of an increase in national sales for a local pharmacy.
Objective
The pandemic had a significant impact on the sales of a local company, prompting them to consider expanding their business to reach a national audience. While they had previously sold their products through Mercado Libre in Mexico and had physical stores in the city, they decided to focus their efforts on building a comprehensive website. This website offered national shipping and pickup options. Additionally, it features a powerful dashboard to manage product listings, upload different products and collections, and provide detailed statistics on user consumption. These insights informed their product-related decisions.
Challenge
As a Front-end Developer, It was encountered a range of challenges, including the need for continuous collaboration with both the Designer and Back-end Developer to translate an Adobe XD prototype into pixel-perfect interfaces. Additionally, to ensure the Back-end was fully functional by retrieving data from an API and implementing a variety of features, from simple to complex. Furthermore, had the responsibility of attending stakeholder meetings and delivering the interfaces within a tight timeframe, as the e-commerce project had a short deadline due to the company being concurrently involved in other similar projects.
Solution
An e-commerce platform is both robust and highly adaptable, boasting a suite of essential features such as product listing management, a user-friendly checkout experience, efficient shipping solutions, customer reviews, wishlist functionality, an advanced search engine using Algolia, and a comprehensive dashboard for the management of product data, discount programs, statistics, and other key data.
