Overview

Built the website's Front-end tailored for university students to create personalized school schedules. This included the flexibility to select subjects, professors, and class times, benefiting 1,600 users.

Objective

The Universidad Juárez del Estado de Durango holds a distinguished legacy within the city. As one of Durango, México's largest and most reputable universities, it currently enrolls approximately 20,000 students. Recognizing the significance of enhancing the scheduling and administrative processes for its students, the institution embarked on the "Mi Portal" project. This initiative began by serving a select percentage of the student community, with the ultimate goal of progressively extending the website's benefits to a wider user base.

Challenge

The initial phase of the project was marked by different challenges, as students' academic situations varied widely. Our first step was to pinpoint a group of students with simpler data stored on the old website, and we redesign the features set to meet their specific needs. Subsequently, we conducted a detailed analysis of school scheduling classes to facilitate the University's digital transformation.

Solution

In the project's early phases, we navigated through various situations. Our focus was on adhering to deadlines while ensuring that each feature was designed for future expansion. We adopted a "mobile-first" strategy since the primary user access was expected to be through mobile devices. Maintaining constant communication within the team was a key priority, emphasizing the human aspect and the multitude of benefits the website could offer.
